Frequently asked questions
Wall panel FAQs
These answers apply to every panel in the range. For anything specific to one finish, the individual product page carries its own questions — and for anything else, call us on 03333 606 765.
The panels
- Are Pannello wall panels waterproof?
- Yes — 100% waterproof, and suitable for continuous wet-area and shower use. The surface is non-porous, so there is nothing for water to soak into.
- Can the panels be used in both wet and dry areas?
- Yes. Every panel in the range is suitable for both wet and dry areas.
- Do the panels need grout or sealant?
- No. Panels lock together with tongue-and-groove joints, so there are no grout lines to seal, clean or re-do.
- How do I clean PVC wall panels?
- Wipe them down. The surface is non-porous and easy-clean, so there is no grout to scrub and no resealing to keep on top of.
- Are Pannello panels fire rated?
- The 1m range is classified to BS EN 13501:2007 for reaction to fire. Individual product pages state the rating where one is published.
- What guarantee do the panels come with?
- Every Pannello panel is backed by a 5-year guarantee.
Choosing panels
- How many packs of panels do I need?
- Each pack covers one metre of wall width in both ranges — the 1m range as one 1000mm board, the 250mm range as four 250mm panels. Measure each wall in metres and round up.
- What is the difference between the 1m and 250mm ranges?
- Format. The 1m range is a wide 10mm board that covers a metre on its own, supplied as a shower panel for walls. The 250mm range is narrower, 5mm or 8mm, and rated for ceilings as well as walls.
- What are Linea panels?
- Tile-effect panels, precision-scored so they read as individually laid tiles, with no grout. They are supplied at 2700mm so the cut lines can be staggered between panels.
Fitting
- Can panels be fitted over existing tiles?
- Yes. Lightly sand glossy tiles so the adhesive grips, then apply solvent-free adhesive directly over them. No strip-out needed.
- What adhesive should I use?
- A solvent-free adhesive, applied to the back of the panel.
- How long does a bathroom take to panel?
- Most bathrooms are completed in a day. There is no grouting and no drying time between stages.
Buying
- Where can I buy Pannello panels?

- Do you supply trims?
- Yes, in plastic and metal and in a range of colours. See the trims guide for which trim does what.
- Can I become a Pannello stockist?
- Yes — there is a trade enquiry form on the become a stockist page, and a member of the trade team responds within one working day.
