Installation
Panel trims explained
Trims are what turn a set of panels into a finished wall. They cover cut edges, join panels and close corners. Pannello supplies trims in both plastic and metal, in a range of colours — ask your stockist or contact us for current options.
The four trims you are likely to need
- End trim (also called a starter or J trim)
- Closes an exposed panel edge, typically where a run starts or stops. The installation guide fixes the end trim first, before the first panel goes on.
- H join trim
- Joins two panels edge to edge. Used wherever a panel has been cut to width, so the cut edge is never left visible.
- Internal corner trim
- Connects two panels meeting in an internal corner — the usual case where two bathroom walls meet.
- External corner trim
- Connects and protects panels around an external corner, such as a boxed-in pipe or a window reveal.
Choosing a finish
Trims come in plastic and metal and in multiple colours, so they can be matched to the panel or used deliberately as a contrast. Which options are in stock changes, so check with your stockist or call us on 03333 606 765.
Common questions
- What trims do I need for PVC wall panels?
- An end trim to close exposed edges, an H join trim wherever a panel has been cut to width, and internal or external corner trims where walls meet.
- Does Pannello supply panel trims?
- Yes. Trims are available in plastic and metal and in a range of colours. Contact us or ask your stockist for current options.
- Which trim goes on first?
- The end trim. It is positioned and fixed before the first panel, so the panel slots into it.
